It’s been hard to escape on social media this week so you may have already heard that US based beauty brand Drunk Elephant has launched in the UK. I went along to the pop-up in Covent Garden yesterday to find out more about the brand.


I’m a sucker for a cult brand, and EVERYTHING about Drunk Elephant appeals to me…


The Name, The Packaging, the fact it’s Sephora’s best selling skincare brand, plus it’s free from the ‘Suspicious 6‘ (Essential Oils, Drying Alcohols, Silicones, Chemical Screens, Fragrance/Dyes and SLS). As I’ve gotten older, my skin has become more sensitive to certain ingredients, so it was interesting to read Drunk Elephant founder Tiffany Masterson’s take on ‘sensitive skin‘.




Yesterday I learnt of the Drunk Elephant ‘smoothie‘ concept, the brand’s philosophy is to mix the products instead of layering, a great concept if you’re pushed for time but need to get the all-important Vitamin C, Antioxidants and Amino Acids onto your skin. Genius!


The Littles Kit is a great entry to the brand, all the must-try products and great for travelling.



What’s with the name?


The name Drunk Elephant is rooted in a myth that says elephants love to eat the fruit that has fallen from Marula trees where inside their very large tummies it ferments making the elephants drunk!
