Chintz

Chintz is back! But in a much grander way. Fifteen years ago it was all about the minimalist look- the less lived in your house looked, the better. Now it has gone full circle, and we find ourselves looking to House and Garden for inspiration. Chintz is all about creating that lived in, homely vibe and we are into it.

Tips for creating ‘Chintz’…

You need to make your house a home; that is the major key to success for Chintz. It needs to look warm and inviting but equally expensive and intriguing. Tricky to get right as there is a fine line between cool 2019 Chintz and your Grannies untouched for 30 years house Chintz.

Mix iconic modern pieces of furniture with pure chintz- add a fringed floor lamp, Floral Fabrics and Print Wallpaper.

Clash all the florals- mix patterns and textures, Floral wallpaper, cushions and curtains.

Add some iconic crockery- Burleigh and Royal Worcester are our go-to.

Think Liberty floral prints, your Grandma’s crockery and Sanderson’s strawberry wallpaper and you’re halfway there…
